Show and Tell

Last night I attended another Brown Owls Craft night. It was all about Gocco Printing and stitching. Gocco printing has been around for ages, I had one as a kid and mum informs me that she still has it. You can take any image and have it photo copied and turn it into a screen ready for screen printing.

We also did some stitching, I choose Owls out of a cute Japanese Book Pip had. Pip provided the Hankies too, aren't they cute.

 

She's a clever girl and came up with these cute mofits. Teary Dearie? and Something to Sneeze At.

Yesterday was a day for meeting Bloggie people. I Finally popped into Gail B's and met the Lovely Sam from  Missy Mack! She is just as lovely in person. And I met Melanie from Sugarlemon  without baby in toe. Very happy to meet you both.

 

And I received a swap package from a private swap I was in on Swap-bot.

 

I received some great vintage fabrics and the pink on is actually a Dress! Wowza. Very out there, but I love it all. Thank you Shalmiare. Very generous of you.

Something New

last night I tried something new. I made myself a stamp out of a normal eraser. I'd seen it on twocheeseplease She makes the most amazing stamps. I had already purchased the lino tool as I want to do some printing with lino on fabric, but thats another post... So all I did was draw what I wanted then placed it on the eraser face down and rubbedwith a grey lead, to transfer the print. Then I started cutting, that was the trick bit. The fun bit is seeing what you've ended up with

 

I couldn't find my black ink pad, so its a bit hard to see in this photo, but Im pretty happy with it.

I also added some cherry's to it. Now im just thinking of more stamps I'd Like to make. I should really pull out the lino and do the print I have stuck in my head. It will be for my little man. He loves cars, combi-vans and retro camper vans thanks to me! Cause thats a dream of mine, I'd love to do one up, in it original 50's splendor.
