Long names this time...
Ive had this bag cut out for ages and finally finished it whilst the kids were in bed. Its made from a linen table cloth never used.
This is the inside of it.
and my Mans good mate had a baby Boy so I sat on cup day and made these.
Too cute, I blog about these next post.
That's what ive been up to and in the mean time the house looks like its exploded and there is debris everywhere, the mess my two youngest can make is unbelievable!

Ive had my niece staying with me for the past week. She is my sewing buddy. Its nice to have someone who I can help along with sewing stuff.
I ordered the Runaround pattern from Noodleheads...
We thought we would try it out, and this is what my niece came up with using the pattern...
Have to say I love how it came out...we used a pillow case for the outside, calico for the inside and a contrasting tan fabric for the bottom and inside handle...Sweet
She was most impressed with the inside zipper and magnetic closure...
She's a neat sewer...and the orange binding sets the whole bag off... Now to make more...

My Niece and my eldest have got the crafting bug.
It was bound to happen.Holly chose to draw her own creation and stitch it. While my niece chose to complete the Melly and Me's little Kokeshi Doll.
They both did an amazing job.
We have also completed some birdie applique's
And made some Zack Monsters which Im yet to take a photo of.
I finished my sister's Twilight inspired gloves just in time for Christmas. Although she may have to wait awhile to wear them as it mega hot here today. 36 Degree's
And I managed to make myself a bag yesterday arvo, whilst I should have been making for others.
I Love it, its made from thrifted sheets of course! I managed to get my hands on the same sheets in two different colour ways, you can see the other colour underneath the handle. To finish it off a pretty vintage glass button. That was the hardest bit picking the button. Its a free pattern from the lovely Tiny Happy Blog which has been on my to do list for ages!
And check out my little climber! She is driving mummy insane, and she is walking pretty much. This is her new favorite climbing toy. My TV cabinet.
Lastly my little Man graduated Kinder. So sweet they made them all graduation hats and handed them Diplomas. His wearing his school uniform as it was dress up day. Not so little any more. Boo hoo.

Im real happy with the handles but even with double interfacing they sag under the weight. May need to investigate plastic inserts?
Looking inside I put a doily pocket in.
I thought it may even look good as a skirt.

I had a dream last night and just had to try and make this bag I dreamt of. Do you ever do that?
I brought this table cloth and napkins from the oppie ages ago and thought it just right to try my design.
So off I went drawing up what I saw in my dream.
The most distinguishing part was the handles. And so I cut.
The handles are made from the napkins. Its a really pretty green colour which you can see real well in these photos. Ive sewn them up and sorry I have no more pics, but you can come back when its finished, im quite liking how its taking shape.
Whilst Im sewing I have these beautiful old fashion roses in a vase.
They smell divine and I thought I'd share them with you!
Oh and one last thing. we got a new toy here at Monty Mayhem.
The number plate says ENVIE....what a crack. The boy is in love. Didn't know I rode did you.

Oops Did I say id be back tomorrow and its been two days? Sorry folks...life has been hectic, yes even this laid back mum gets run off her feet too.
Well as I mentioned a few times I participated in the "Girls Day Out", run by Country Thyme Patchwork in Maroopna. It started at 10am, which was great as Mum and I drove the two hour trip leaving here at 8am. The event was held at a cafe type thing and was very full of lots of crafty people indeed.
We were joined by Leanne, Rosie and Melly. all of whom I love and follow all their blogs. Each table got some one on one time with the ladies. Melly signed her new book for me, and showed us all how to do a colonial knot. I choose to do Melly's Bag, and got a start on it.
So this is the end result, I hope to end up with something similar...
This was Melly's little Table set up with all her goodies! So much colour, you can help but feel good when you look at it.
Here's the lovely Rosalie, Teaching her Punch Needle technique. She made it look so easy that I had to buy one and yesterday I went and brought some variegated thread so I can have a go at it soon.
This is the pattern we all got in our goodie bags, so sweet. It sort of look like a miniature carpet.

How gorgeous is this pattern from Melly and Me... The little Chickie's are so small and sweet. I may just have to make one up for a friend who's expecting her second. Excuses hey.
Leanne taught us heaps too. She showed us all how to sew on Ric Rac, and the tricks to it. The other thing she taught us was needle turn applique. Which im so happy about as its in alot of the blocks for the Breast of Friends Quilt Im making. All in all it was a great day... but it didn't end there for me, I went home stuffed some food down and got ready for a Hens night out on the town! We went to the Ice Lounge in Russel St, everything including the bar and glasses are made ofice! It was awesome. If your in Melbourne or just visiting I recommend it. Of course we didn't end there, needless to say I got home in the wee hours of the morning. I haven't done that in so long...and I discovered cocktails don't give me a hangover! That would be right, no cheap shout for me anymore....

I took this picture last night out side my back yard, I thought it would be a nice memento for baby Patrick to have. it was taken right when he was born.quite stunning.
I finished two more presents for my sister and cousin, just have one more to make now.
The pattern is by Leah Williams its called the Sew Spoiled Wristlet Pattern (with detachable key fob)
Pretty cool hey, you want one now don't you! The next one Im going to make has a base to it, and makes it into the boxy wristlet. Im going to fill them with goodies...

I finally made a bag for me. See....
I ordered some of AuntyCookie fab fabrics and designed this. Black, white and gray inside. finished off with a red button. (I think I just worked out how to link!) (yay) I appliqued one of her little cuties to the bag.
It would have been good if I had one holding an umbrella, with the rain drops above. But thats cool I still love it. Whilst I was making this my little ones were busy making these

Ive been waiting for Matilda to get big enough to wear the eenee nappies. There cloth with a Eco friendly liner, thats flushable or you can compost them. I have been using them the last week and thing the middle size may be to small or I'm putting them on to tight, cause they are leaving marks. The medium size is supposed to fit up till 18 months, Matilda's nearly four? The liners are great and absorb quite alot. I'II have to send them an email and see whats up?! i took a pic of her in them just in case someone happens across my blog and reads this some day...lol
Chubba Bubba or what...can complain about my breast milk, can I! At the moment I'm making a few things for my mum, as its her birthday next month. I made a sewing machine cover and started on a matching pin-cushion, and am hoping to add a few other bits and pieces, like a needle book, quilting journal and of course a bag to put them in. Show you soon...
